The latest version of xScope Mirror requires xScope 4, which is available from the Mac App Store. This application allows designers and developers to preview images from their Mac desktop directly on an iOS device or Apple Watch with ease.

Compared to other preview tools, xScope Mirror maintains a streamlined user experience by eliminating unnecessary desktop chrome and avoiding repetitive file saving. To use, simply launch xScope Mirror on the iOS device and xScope on the Mac, confirm the connection on iOS, and then drag an image file onto the Dock icon of xScope to initiate the preview.

The app also supports remote previews of Photoshop documents, enabling users to view changes in PSD files during editing sessions. Additionally, it can display any open window on the Mac or images that have been copied to the clipboard.

Images displayed on the iOS device can be transferred to the Apple Watch through a tap. The watch interface supports scrolling for layouts taller than the screen, and files matching icon sizes for the watch are shown with a circular mask against a black background for quick asset review.
